I think Elon Must is wrong. About a lot of things, but specifically about Mars. If we do end up living on Mars, it will be because we’ve screwed up this planet so badly that Mars somehow seems like the most hospitable option.

If I wanted to live in the wilderness, endure freezing temperatures and live in constant fear of death, I’d move to Alaska. I’m much happier to view Mars from afar, and I can do that because NASA is getting pretty good at lobbing robots across the cosmos.

The new photos from NASA’s Perseverance rover are incredible. I can’t wait to see what it discovers.
